right around this time of year people are starting to get a wee bit itchy for spring. in general, the snow is starting to look dirty. it’s lost that dreamy winter wonderland quality. and, when you get record breaking amounts of it, then it all but completely disappears, and then you get yet another storm dumping more snow – any amount of sunshine and green foliage are teasers. so what does one do? go to the winter farmer’s market with mini and babe and sweat your butt off in a greenhouse.
a sunny greenhouse + greenery = tropical paradise
if you’re lucky enough, you can grab a table and a bite to eat under the cover of lush green plants and the warm sunshine
the vendors are local
homemade olive oil. bring your own bottle and they’ll refill it.
music was on the menu this weekend
baked goods and freshly made salsa were very popular!
home made wines, jellies, cheeses, root beer, pickles, bagels, as well as organically grown vegis were available
in addition to an entire gardening center, this place even sells silk flowers, kids games, and gifts
after nibbling and snacking through the aisle ways, a lunch in the sun of olives, bagels, yogurt and root beer was an ideal way to cap off the adventure
