this is the greatest thing ever! now that we have a new door, halloween was the ideal time to give it a real test. the perfect opportunity to answer questions like: is it in the right spot? is there enough of a landing? can people find the doorbell? things that are important when you’re talking about a front door. the door worked perfectly! but, the really really really best part was our first set of trick or treaters.
babe the monkey was our very first guest of 2013. he walked right over and strolled in for his treat. professing his love for his first real girlfriend, emma the doodle.

so after a few minutes, things started to really get going and babe got a little restless.

and, then it was time to do what any normal person would do with a restless monkey….put him in the stroller and get him ready for the door-to-door sales pitch.

shortly thereafter, mini the cupcake princess arrived. complete with her bunny dressed as a christmas tree. she was quick to step up and practice her own souped up version of the candy sales pitch. she was one lucky cupcake princess because she got the king of all chocolate who knew just how to handle the situation.

every halloween crowd needs a pirate, and the big O made for an ideal representative.

never ones to miss a party, bateman & rogers made it over just in time to capture everyone full of excitement; bursting with anticipation; eager to take on the night.

an hour and a half later….they returned. crashing from the sugar high. hungry for something not loaded with carbs. exhausted. successful. non-negotiable.
